Foster Parents are the Heart of
PATH Wisconsin

Become a Foster Parent

We believe that children develop best in families. Meeting children’s needs, one child at a time, we work to preserve and strengthen families and to provide permanency for children.

“Being involved with PATH has been a rewarding experience for me and my family. My children feel welcomed and included in this organization, and are very much a part of the treatment team. At PATH we are all very connected to the mission of helping children and families achieve success.”
- Dawn Luebstorf, Path Foster parent and president of the Path Wisconsin, Inc. Board of directors

What is Treatment Foster Care?
Our children are boys and girls from birth to age 18, with
energy, dreams, and ambitions like any other child. Many
have experienced periods of neglect and abuse and carry
emotional wounds and behavioral challenges needing
special attention and love. Some simply need extra
resources and support.

What’s involved? What’s expected?
PATH foster parents are:
• Couples or singles of all backgrounds, faiths, ages, and abilities.
• PATH foster parents come with different gifts and abilities to offer children.
• When they open their family to a child, they hope to make a difference in the child’s future.

Why choose PATH?
• National leader and founder of treatment foster care model
• Agency-wide value of foster parent as integral team members
• Leadership opportunities for foster parents
• High quality and ethical standard of care for youth and families
• Reputation of excellence nationally and locally as a high quality and responsive service provider.

PATH utilizes and provides:
• 24 hour on-call services
• Outstanding educational offerings at no (or minimal) cost
• Highly trained and experienced staff
• Committed and responsive social workers
